Sound

  • Bachelor's degree in Performing Arts in 180 ECTS - Sound

  • Master's Degree in Performing Arts in 60 ECTS : Radio-TV-Multimedia / Orientation Live mixing

The 180 ECTS Bachelor's degree

The studies in sound comprise 3 years. Each year consists of 60 ECTS of learning. The study programme splits into four main activities: theoretical courses, technical courses and practicals, creative workshops and artistic projects (CWAP), dissertation and placement.
Students follow a foundation programme which gives them a thorough grounding in all crafts associated with sound. Only in the last year will students choose an area of expertise but they will still ave to have to work on creative workshops and artistic projects in all sound-related fields.
During the first two years, students learn the different crafts, techniques and tools associated with sound. These crafts and techniques may be split into 2 main categories:
  • Autonomous sound (not linked to images)
  • Audiovisual sound (linked to images)
At the beginning of the third year, students will be able to make their own programme, based on a contract, and they will have the possibility to accomplish advanced work in the areas of greater interest to them. However, students will have to keep families of exercises by following at least one of the following specialisations : musical sound (classic or variety), sound recording on shooting, sound editing and mixing.

The 60 ECTS Master's degree : live mixing

The Master 60 programme consists in a professional training in live sound engineering. It is built on seminars, workshops of professional level, internship and the writing of a dissertation.
